Lovely composition, Donnie. Is this Keppoch on the Road to the Isles near Arisaig? And is it the home of the MacDonalds of Keppoch (who I associate more with the Inverness/Aviemore area).
This site contains information about, and photographs of the Strathaird peninsula including Elgol - a small coastal crofting village on the Isle of Skye, Scotland.

thanks both - this is Keppoch near Elgol on Skye - a village cleared in the 1850s
Thank you, Dinnie, for this info. It's really good to be able to piece the topography together... What a lot of Keppochs, then.
